Are cartouches popular in Egypt
I left Egypt many years back so I can’t really say if it is popular these days.
Back in the 70s and 80s wearing a cartouche bracelet was the easiest thing you could do to look cool. 
I am talking a cartouche plate with a thick thick bracelet, mostly silver and worn by men. Given the fashion prevalent in those times, you would also wear a moustache, long (I mean long) side burns, I am sure you remember those disco days 
Well, the disco style is now gone (thank God) but the cartouche bracelet still is a very nice piece of jewelry a man can wear. It is classic piece of jewelry that is unique, different and always compliments your attire whether casual or formal.
